The first workshop ran in 2019 and proved to be very popular, resulting in one candidate winning a complimentary ticket to FundForum in Copenhagen.
FundForum International is one of the most prominent asset and wealth management conferences in Europe, showcasing industry leaders on a range of topics. In 2019, FundForum partnered with WiAS to run an initiative to help increase the number of women speaking at the conference.
The workshop in 2022, will again be run by Alison Campbell from IFF Training, hosted by Redington at their London office. The aim of the workshop is to encourage the delegates to be more confident in public speaking and to develop their skills during a 3-hour session, and provide an opportunity to present a two minute pitch on anything they feel passionate about in front of the WiAS network at an evening reception. This year we are inviting members from the LGBT Great network to further broaden the diverse talent pipeline. The winner, chosen by a judging panel of FundForum editor, Jenny Adams, Redington’s Nick Blake, and WiAS’ Gillian Hepburn, will again receive a complimentary ticket to FundForum, May 10th-13th, which will be held in Monaco!
If you are interested in applying for a free place or nominating a colleague, we are looking for someone who:
- Is at the early/mid stages of their career (also returners);
- Has less experience of presenting and networking and would benefit from an opportunity to learn these skills and put them into practice, and
- Would be passionate about doing something like this but may be lacking the confidence to put themselves forward and just needs that extra gentle push of encouragement.
