It has been two weeks since we launched Women in Asset Servicing (WiAS) in Luxembourg, and I am still thrilled by the energy and engagement of that memorable evening. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the event and share some of the highlights with you.
The launch event was more than just a formal announcement, it was a gathering of like-minded individuals committed to promoting equality and inclusion in our industry. We were thrilled to see so many people join us, adding to the richness of the conversation and the diversity of perspectives. One of the standout moments of the evening was our keynote speaker, Catharina Biver, who shared her insights into the world of emotional intelligence. Her talk was not just informative but deeply inspiring, leaving us with plenty to think about.
Catharina shared a key message that resonated with all of us: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after an experience with you is your trademark.” This powerful statement beautifully illustrates the essence of emotional intelligence and its importance in our professional lives.
In exploring what emotional intelligence is we developed thoughts around why it matters and how it shapes our behaviour. In considering our emotions as assets this means that we can learn how to manage them effectively, leading to more powerful and meaningful interactions and relationships.
The launch of WiAS in Luxembourg is just the beginning. We are excited about the journey ahead and the change we can bring about together. We believe in the power of networking, mentorship, and empowerment to help women and all participants find their bravery, self-assess their skills, and go for the right job at the right time.
